Science Courses Vs Art Courses (Cut Off Marks Compared)
From researches made, it has been discovered that art courses arguably have lower cut off marks compared to science courses. In the same manner, art courses also have more institutions which are ready to accepts students aspiring to study those courses.
Buy why is it so? It is not a matter of superiority as both branches of education have their unique impact in the society. There are so many factors affecting such as the nature of the course, job opportunities and so on.
Science deal with more complicated issues, including human and animal lives. For that reason, it requires students with high capacity and the only means of measuring such is through cut off marks or aggregate score.
Recommendations
Gaining admission into a science department or faculty could be difficult sometimes especially when you aim to study professional courses like nursing or medicine and surgery. To avoid putting yourself in a tight corner, it is always recommended that you strive to improve your JAMB score following these simple guide.
It is also important to note that gaining admission too does not depend wholly on your score as some other factors are considered such as quota.
We also recommend that you switch to universities which do not require JAMB to be admitted. One of the institutions is JPTS.
Moving on, you can retake UTME and equip yourself better for your dream course. If you have a dream to study a particular course, I recommended that you do not give it up because of low JAMB score. Equip yourself better and give your best shot.
Conclusion
There are several science courses you can study in Nigeria if you score between 140 and above. But the truth remains that the higher your score, the higher your chances of getting admitted in the tertiary institution.
